We have dance troupes which perform at fundraising events, parties, weddings, festivals and other functions. We also provide private lessons.

We can also offer wedding packages for your big day. Why not start the evening off with a bit of fun with a Salsa lesson so everyone can join in, followed by a professional Salsa performance by Sabroso's dancers.

Sabroso is the North West’s first and number one Salsa Club. Formed in Derry, N Ireland in January 2002 we are well known for our high standard of teaching whilst incorporating lots of fun into our classes. We run salsa events and socials periodically.

Clare

UKA Qualified in Salsa —Clare has been dancing salsa since September 1999 and has been teaching since 2002 where she formed Sabroso along with Martina Hutcheson. Clare teaches not only salsa but cha cha, bachata, bachata/tango & merengue. Her passion for salsa comes across in her teaching, her committment to all her students is not only to learn dance steps but to “feel” and interpretate the music. With her amazing team on board Clare is confident that salsa will expand further in the North West.

 

 

 

Darran

UKA Qualified in Salsa—Darran has been dancing salsa since 2000. Initially Darran took up salsa as a pastime but once he got into it he was hooked and wanted to learn more and has been taught by one of the UK’s top instructors where he has developed his dancing techniques and teaching instruction. Darran says he would advise all men to get up and give it a go, it’s a life changing experience.

Darran has moved to the big smoke "London" in March 2011 to learn and develop his dancing more but will be back and forth to Derry to pass on his knowledge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tony & Lorraine (teachers in training)

Tony & Lorraine started learning Salsa with Sabroso in 2007. Initially their interest was in Dance as a form of exercise & as a way of meeting new people. From there, their love of the dance has grown and become a huge part of their lives. They take every available learning opportunity to enhance & expand their dance repertoire, and have taken instruction from various International teachers & danced their way accross the Med on the all star Salsa Cruise.


Both having a background in Health Care, they have a genuine interest in people & enjoy teaching classes in a lighthearted way ensuring people not only benefit from their experience but enjoy a good night out.
